Congrats in store for the following United players who has been shortlisted for the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year awards:

Edwin van der Sar - Best Goalkeeper
Rio Ferdinand - Best Defender
Nemanja Vidic - Best Defender
Paul Scholes - Best Midfielder
Wayne Rooney - Best Forward
Cristiano Ronaldo - Best Forward

The winners will be announced at the draw for this season’s group stage on Thursday 28 August.

I have been supporting Manchester United since 1976. I remembered watching them play in the 1976 FA Cup Final with Southampton, back in the days when television was a luxury to our family. I watched the game at a chalet actually, someone's birthday, can't remember who though. Man U lost that day, but won my heart for their spirited display and never-say-die attitude. Stepney, Coppell, McIlroy, Macari.. From then onwards, I only supported Man U.
